• Do I have to be a SJSU student to join the club?
No, the club is open to everyone.  Singles, couples, students, non-students, SJSU faculty and employees, etc.   Everyone welcome!


  • Do I have to register?
No, there is no registration process.


  • Where do I pay for the membership?
You can pay at the club.


  • Do I need a partner?
No partner is necessary!


  • Where can I park?  Can I have driving directions?  Where is SPX89?

  • Do I have to know how to dance? What If I have never danced before?
No dance experience is necessary.  Anyone can join the club even if they have never danced before.


  • What do I wear? Do I need dance shoes?
We don't have a dress code.  Dance shoes are recommended but not required.


  • Who teaches the lessons? Do you provide private lessons?
Either a SJSU instructor or an instructor from one of the local dance studios will teach the lessons.  We do not offer private lessons but you can talk to the instructor to arrange one.


  • How much does it cost? How long are the lessons?

We have beginning and intermediate lessons.  Each lesson is about 45 min long unless otherwise noticed.


  • My friends are not SJSU students.  What are the fees for them to join the lessons?
The fees are  the same.


  • When can I practice?
We have open dancing/practice after the lessons until 10:00 pm. Also, we will announce at the club what other days we have open practice.


  • Can I attend only a few lessons? or if I missed the first few lessons can I still join?
Yes, you can join the club at any time or just attend the lessons of your choice.


  • What is the age range of those in attendance at your lessons?
We have participants of all ages.


  • How can I get more involved with the club?
There are many ways to get involved with the club. For example, if you are a SJSU student you can help us run the club as an officer or if you are not a SJSU student you can help us at some of the events we organize each semester. Please talk to one of the officers at the club to get more info.


  • Where is your schedule and what dances will be taught?
The schedule and dances are posted under "Schedule" and it may change at any time.


  • Can I subscribe to your email list to get more information of upcoming events?
