I
am pleased to share news about an upcoming Camp FATEH event. The
Sangat in Sacramento is very supportive and prepared to coordinate
more 3 Day and 1 Day Camps with the local Youth. We have
successfully began organizing a 2 day Camp Fateh event in April
(April 19-20, 2002).
The
Camp will begin on Saturday morning at 8am and finish Sunday
afternoon. The theme for this camp will be "Seva: Misconception
and Truth". The theme will cover important topics such as:
Importance/Role of Seva, Historical views, Misconceptions of Seva,
etc.
When
we think of Seva, we normally think of passing out Langar at
Gurdwara, but Seva is much more than that. All lessons will focus on
this theme in attempt to gain a better understanding through Gurbani
of the true meaning of Seva. Camp FATEH is dedicated to reaching the
Youth of Sacramento and would like your help. Please confirm your
attendence as a sewadar by replying to this email. Class, Seva
Group, and Activities
Assignments
for all Counselors and Volunteers will be forthcoming. We need alot
of help from everyone to make this Camp as successful as the last
one. Please respond as soon as possible and make your travel
arrangements promptly.
